Dataran Lang
Near Kuah's jetty is the Dataran Lang or Eagle Square, which has a magnificent 18m-high marble eagle as a centerpiece.

In the same area is an amphitheater for regular cultural performances that portray the various legends of the island.

In the area are also two covered terraces and two restaurants.

Langkawi Cable Car
A cable car ride takes visitors to Langkawi's second highest peak of Mount Mat Cincang where the view of the surrounding islands is spectacular. On clear days, visitors can also see parts of Thailand towards the north and Indonesia towards the south-west. The cable car ride up the hill takes about 20 minutes and is highly exhilarating. There are great views of the hillside flora, several waterfalls and an occasional glimpse of the wildlife and spectacular birds.

Craft Cultural Complex
The Craft Cultural Complex is located on the northern coastline of Langkawi Island in the vicinity of Teluk Yu, which is about a 30 minutes drive from the airport or 45 minutes from Kuah town. Nestled on a hillside overlooking the sea, the magnificent complex offers a wide range of Malaysian handicrafts such as delicate hand-drawn batik and intricately carved silverware.

Underwater World Langkawi
Along Pantai Cenang is the Underwater World Langkawi. One of the largest aquariums in Asia, it has a 15m-long walk-through tunnel from which you can view more than 5,000 kinds of marine life in over 100 tanks. The building is also a duty-free shopping complex.

Langkawi Legend Park (Taman Lagenda)
Langkawi's Legend Garden was built based on an idea of the former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. The Garden shows the mythical and legendary heritage which remains the core of Langkawi's allure. The Garden, which covers an area of 50 acres, is built on reclaimed land and cost approximately RM37 million to build. It is beautifully landscaped with 4 lakes, a lagoon and a beach.

Makan Mahsuri (Mahsuri Mausoleum)
Located 12 km north-west of Kuah, it marks the spot where Mahsuri, a famous legendary figure, was buried. In the vicinity, there are souvenir shops and a kampung house containing ancient artefacts.

Padang Maksirat
Padang Maksirat, or the 'field of burnt rice', is the place where villagers torched the padi fields to prevent Siamese invaders from getting their rice grains several centuries ago. Villagers maintain that to this day heavy rain sometimes brings traces of burnt rice grains to the surface.

Rice Museum (Laman Padi)
This rice museum offers an insight into the many activities and implements involved in the cultivation of rice, or padi. There are charts, photographs and artefacts in the museum.
The complex also houses a roof-top garden with fragrant padi plots and a rice farm where visitors can participate in padi planting activities. The restaurant offers traditional Malay food and cakes using rice as the main ingredient. Other attractions include a herbal garden, souvenirs and handicrafts. Rice-based food demonstrations, festivals and theme exhibitions are also held here. Laman Padi is located near Pantai Cenang in Mukim Kedawang.

Ayer Hangat Village
Ayer Hangat Village is a cultural entertainment complex built around the Telaga Ayer Hangat hot springs. The village has day-long cultural activities for visitors, such as making local handicrafts, planting padi, playing some traditional Malay sports or learning traditional dances like the Ronggeng or Joget. The hot spring has three tiers with varying temperature levels for those who feel like a dip.

The Ibrahim Hussein Museum & Cultural Foundation
Datuk Ibrahim Hussein, an international renowned artist, is the founder of this museum and cultural foundation. This exquisite museum is set in the northern part of the island near the Pantai Pasir Tengkorak. This art museum is certainly worth a visit as the works of this famous artist are displayed here.
