For requirements on the Malaysian side, a good place to begin would be the Malaysian diplomatic mission in your country. Alternatively, the industry professional helping to arrange your wedding will be able to furnish you with more information as well as take care of all the legal and immigration arrangements for an additional fee. Generally, foreigners looking to get married in Malaysia need to furnish the necessary photographs, passports and statutory declarations proving both parties are above the age of 21 and that neither is presently married. Upon your arrival in Malaysia, there are short visits to be made to various government departments and the respective embassies in Malaysia to validate your documents and register the marriage.
