 "Colours
of Malaysia" or "Citrawarna Malaysia" is the
spectacular launch parade for the month-long arts, culture
and traditions festival usually starting in May.
Held in Kuala
Lumpur, Malaysia's capital city, each state showcases
its unique heritage, creating a kaleidoscope of fascinating
performances.
An extravaganza with over 4,000 participants dressed in colorful
costumes, spectators will be treated to songs and dances reflecting
the pride Malaysians feel for their rich, multi-ethnic cultural
tapestry.
Originally only highlighting Malaysian cultures and arts,
the participation of other Asian countries added an international
dimension to the festival in 2005.
