National
Science Centre or Pusat Sains Neagara
Situated in a pleasant environment, the National Science Centre
stands on a small hill in Bukit Kiara on the outskirts of
Kuala Lumpur. The building is designed in the shape of a truncated
cone and the whole structure is covered with a geodesic dome.
Established in 1996 to promote science and technology in
Malaysia, the centre features themed exhibits such as An Environmental
Odyssey, Pathways to Discovery, Future World and Thinking
Machines.
Visitor interaction with the exhibits encourages and promotes
interest in Science and Technology. Science is linked to the
environment and religion, as well as to explain the use
of scientific knowledge and applications in daily life.
