Other Beaches in Malaysia

Places to go: Things to do:

Tanjung Bidara, Malacca
Tanjung Bidara, 30 km north-west of Malacca town, is one of the state's more popular beaches. The sandy white beach, shaded by swaying casuarinas, has a cove that is perfect for swimming and water sports. This is also the perfect picnic spot for the whole family. Half the fun is getting there: the journey requires visitors to travel through Malacca's scenic countryside of rice padi fields and Malay villages.

Klebang, Malacca
Located on the edge of Malacca town, Klebang is ideal for those seeking beachside relaxation but don't want to travel far. A magnificent sweep of sand caressed by gentle tides, it is tranquil and alluring, good for swimming and even a spot of night fishing! There are stalls all along the shore selling local favorites.

This is definitely a good spot for picnics and beach volleyballs. Or travel out here after the sun sets to enjoy the cool sea breeze and listen to the waves.

Tanjung Kling, Malacca
Another enchanting beach along the Straits of Malacca is Tanjung Kling, about 15 km north of Malacca town. A sandy white stretch set within a coconut grove, it's great for swimming, picnicking and canoeing.

Pantai Morib, Selangor
If the popular west coast beach resorts are a bit too crowded for you, you might find Morib, located at the southern end of Selangor state, more appealing. Just 1 hour drive from Kuala Lumpur, it is the perfect place for some quiet, peaceful relaxation.

Teluk Batik, Perak
About 6 km south of Lumut is the palm-fringed beach of Teluk Batik, a favorite haunt of campers, picnickers and sun seekers. Calm and warm, the coastal waters along this stretch are ideal for swimming, canoeing and a host of water activities.
