pretty amidst the Pahang rainforest is the little hamlet of
Fraser's Hill. At 1,524m above sea level, this highlands resort
has innumerable plant, bird and animal species.
The resort-village is popular with those who are interested
in nature activites such as trekking, bird watching, horse
riding, fishing and camping.
Fraser's Hill owes its name to a Scottish trader, Louis James
Fraser, who established a tin ore trading station in the forested
mountains on the Selangor and Pahang border at the end of
the 19th century.
